Fire Lighting Workshop
Learn how to safely light and maintain a fire long enough to make a hot drink. We will be using a variety of natural materials to light the fires and will discuss safe fuel sources to use during this process. We will also explore the environmental impact of campfires and consider ways to reduce harm when lighting, maintaining and extinguishing a fire.
Oral Storytelling
Learn oral storytelling methods to help both you as the educator and your learners better create and share stories together.
Campfire Cooking Workshop
Learn how to make two different recipes on the fire. We will discuss some of the the food hygiene considerations necessary while cooking food outdoors and ways to include learners in the preparation and cooking process.
Prior experience lighting fires recommended.

Using Tools in Early Years Education Workshop
Learn methods and techniques for facilitating tool use in an early year setting from Level 3 Forest School Leaders who work in an Ofsted-rated Outstanding nursery setting. We will focus on:

Hand drills
You must have some experience using tools prior to attending this workshop.

Take a moment to pause and immerse yourself in nature to help build your connection with yourself, others, and the natural world.
What is School Readiness?
In this virtual workshop we will discuss the foundational development a child needs to succeed in school. What do they need have developed to sit comfortably on a chair or the floor apply the correct pressure when writing, track letters and words on a page, communicate effectively with peers and teachers, recognise and regulate their emotions, and advocate for themselves? We will touch on all of these questions and more during our hour together.

Wreath Making Workshop
Learn how to make wreaths using natural materials, such as willow, holly, and dried fruits. We will also learn how to tie a few different knots that are helpful for nature crafts. This event will be outdoors, so dress appropriately to stay warm and dry. We will be heating a warm drink to have over the fire while you create your projects.
